Bio:

Dr. Jan Gläscher received his PhD from the University of Hamburg and spent four years until 2010 as Postdoc at the California Institute of Technology working with Prof. John O’Doherty on learning and decision-making and with Prof. Ralph Adolphs on impairments of cognitive functions in lesion patients. In 2009 he won the Bernstein Award for Computational Neuroscience, which will allow him to establish his independent research group in the coming years at the Dept. for Systems Neuroscience in Hamburg. His future work will focus on the neural basis for human valuation using formal computational models of decision-making in combination with functional magnetic resonance imaging.
