Panel 4: Perceptual decision making
Saturday, 9:00am – 11:00am
Representations and mechanisms of decision making in the brain are formalized as accumulating information until a response criterion is reached. How do these models relate to processes in the human and primate brain? This session brings together computational, behavioral, neurophysiological, and neuroimaging scientists to discuss current approaches.
Speakers:
- Joshua Gold:
The effects of recent outcomes on perceptual decision-making - Rafal Bogacz:
From optimal decisions by neurons to decisions in social contexts - Birte Forstmann:
Neural basis of the speed/accuracy trade-off: model-based functional and structural studies in humans
Responsible Scientists: Flavia Filimon, Nikos Green, Hermine Wenzlaff
